How 88 Chick-fil-A Customers Got a Free Lunch

There is such a thing as a free lunch: 88 surprised people got a free meal at a Chick-fil-A in West Texas this week when an unidentified man drove up to the restaurant's drive-thru and, after paying his bill said to the cashier: "Here's 10, $100 bills, I'd like to pay for everybody else in line." The cashier, confused, wondered if the man had just won the lottery. He had not, but explained: "Mondays are tough... I just want to help everyone have a good day."

Reactions from customers ranged from confused to grateful to emotional. One woman, who employees said had been having "a bad day," cried when she heard the news. The donor wishes to remain anonymous. Though pay-it-forward chains have hit other Chick-fil-A locations in the past, this is the first time an individual covered the bill for the rest of the lunch line. Go watch the local news story:
