CA's Ramen Yokocho Festival; 5280 Dines in Denver

SAN JOSE— Japan's uber-popular Ramen Yokocho Festival is heading to San Jose for the first time: Eater SF reports the event will feature many popular Tokyo, Fukushima, and Hakata ramen shops, including Kohmen, Hide-Chan, and Tatsunoya, alongside familiar stateside ramen restaurants like LA's Tsujita. Ramen burger inventor Keizo Shimamoto will also be on-hand, serving an inverted version of his cultishly beloved dish: something called "burger ramen." Tickets are $5, with bowls of ramen available a la carte. More information here. [Eater SF]

DENVER— Chef/restaurateur Frank Bonanno will throw a celebration for 5280 Magazine's annual "Best Restaurants" issue next week, and as Eater Denver notes, it'll be open to the public for the first time. The 5280 Dines outdoor block party will take place Sunday, September 28, featuring bites from Bonanno's four restaurant concepts. More information here. [Eater Denver]

PROVIDENCE— Del Posto chef Mark Ladner will team with Providence, Rhode Island's birch in the next installment of chef/owner Ben Sukle's recurring dinner series. The duo will collaborate on a multi-course tasting menu on Monday, September 29; reservations are $150 and available here. [EaterWire]
