Kerry Diamond — co-founder and editorial director of the bi-annual food magazine Cherry Bombe — has been named the Editor-in-Chief of Yahoo Food. Diamond is also a restaurateur and co-owns three restaurants in Brooklyn: Smith Canteen, Wilma Jean, and Nightingale 9. Although only three issues have been published (the latest one features Ruth Reichl as a cover girl), Cherry Bombe's following has grown quickly.
Earlier this year, Diamond and her co-founder Claudia Wu hosted their inaugural Cherry Bombe Jubilee conference which featured talks from many prominent chefs, including the likes of April Bloomfield (Spotted Pig, NYC) and Suzanne Goin (A.O.C, LA). Though the details of her role are unclear, Yahoo's blog notes that Diamond will assume the position of Editor-in-Chief on September 22.
