parm-russia-belarus-cheese.jpgAs Russia's ban on Western food products continues, some Russian chefs are getting creative in their food sourcing: Reuters reports Belarus is acting as an intermediary, as it can legally ship in European products thanks to a "customs union agreement" with the Russian government. "Two chefs at Moscow restaurants described buying genuine Parmigiano-Reggiano... It came in original Italian packaging, stuck with crude stickers saying 'made in Belarus.'" [Reuters] [Photo: Flickr]
