In the middle of a drought, not long after a major earthquake in Napa, and with politics halting wine production in Malibu, California governor Jerry Brown has declared September 2014 California Wine Month. Will tourists flock to the state to, as Brown announced, "sample our vintages and enjoy the many other attractions that our several distinct wine regions have to offer?" Time will tell.
