New York City-based grilled cheese chainlet Melt Shop is expanding to Washington D.C, writes Eater DC. Co-owner Spencer Rubin tells Eater that he's "always loved the idea of heading south with the brand, and D.C. is the best next stop." The menu will be much like the chainlet's four NYC restaurants and will feature a variety of grilled cheese sandwiches, tater tots, tomato soup, and plenty of milkshakes. Melt Shop D.C is slated to open in early November.
