Richard Blais on Food Network; Napa Earthquake Relief

Hillary Dixler Canavan is Eater's restaurant editor and the author of the publication's debut book, Eater: 100 Essential Restaurant Recipes From the Authority on Where to Eat and Why It Matters (Abrams, September 2023). Her work focuses on dining trends and the people changing the industry — and scouting the next hot restaurant you need to try on Eater's annual Best New Restaurant list.

FOOD TV — Chef and Top Chef lifer Richard Blais is getting his own show on the Food Network. Per the announcement, Hungry Games will explore the "psychology and science behind our food decisions " through "a series of fun hidden camera experiments and man-on-the-street taste tests." Debuts Monday, October 20. [EaterWire]

NAPA, CA — The wine app Delectable is lending aid to Napa wine makers after this week's destructive earthquake. For every bottle of Napa wine sold, Delectable will pay for the shipping, donate $1 per bottle to relief efforts, and "take no profit," instead passing the earnings directly down the supply chain. EAST COAST — In September the Four Seasons hotel group is launching its second ever food truck tour, making nine stops along the East Coast from Boston to Miami. At each stop, the food & beverage team from the local Four Seasons will man the truck with "street-food-inspired menus" of items $10 and under. A portion of proceeds will go to charity. [EaterWire]
