Actors Will McCormack and Rashida Jones' production company Le Train Train has sold a family restaurant show to ABC. According to Deadline, the show is called Mix and it's a "dramedy" (the amalgam of drama and comedy) with a plot that centers around "a revered family restaurant at a crossroads." The show itself "explores the realities of modern-day families" that are multi-cultural and multi-generational. Jennifer Cecil (Private Practice) will serve as writer and as executive producer.

Jones isn't completely unfamiliar to food television: She made an appearance on Esquire's show The Getaway, which features famous people giving tours of exotic locales. Other upcoming food programs include an A&E reality show that follows boy band brothers Nick and Drew Lachey as they open a bar in Ohio, FYI's Midnight Feast, a competition cooking series, and ABC's scripted sitcom based off chef Eddie Huang's memoir Fresh Off the Boat.
