Watch Jimmy Fallon Make Fun of How Giada De Laurentiis Pronounces Italian Words

New, 1 comment

Food networkperson Giada De Laurentiis stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote her new Las Vegas restaurant Giada. She first plays a strange round of Catch Phrase with host Jimmy Fallon where she squeals and squawks and over-enunciates "spaghetti," which Fallon is quick to point out again.

After the game De Laurentiis proclaims she "needs a drink" and demonstrates how to make veal saltimbocca and a cocktail called "Conan the Destroyer." She then over-pronounces tequila and Fallon loses no time in teasing her: "Why do you say teh-quii-laa? You're not Spanish." Fallon then pokes fun at the menu at her new restaurant, which has a pronunciation guide. Finally, the host gets De Laurentiis to correct the way he says everything from bucatini to ravioli. Go, watch:
