Here are your Monday afternoon book deals, as reported by Publishers Marketplace. Bakers Keavy Blueher and Allison Kave — who also wrote First Prize Pies — have landed a deal with Abrams to publish Butter & Scotch. The book — which shares the same name as their upcoming Brooklyn dessert and craft cocktail bar — will feature 75 recipes for cocktails, desserts, and "creations that straddle both categories." There are no details regarding a release date yet.

Next up, journalist Karen Stabiner will release a book titled Generation Chef (Avery Publishing). It will chronicle "rising star chef" Jonah Miller's journey in creating and opening his new New York City restaurant Huertas, which Eater critic Robert Sietsema awarded three out of four stars, in June. The book will also cover "restaurant culture in the United States" over the past 50 years," and will trace the evolution of "today's hyper-competitive food world." There is no word on a release date yet.

Finally, Jeffrey Yoskowitz and Liz Alpern, the founders of The Gefilteria — a speciality foods purveyor based in Brooklyn, New York — have landed a cookbook deal. Titled The Gefilte Manifesto: New Recipes for Old World Jewish Foods, the book will be published by Flatiron Books. It will feature modern takes on Ashkenazi food and drinks including blintzes, strudel, gefilte fish (of course), kvass, and schmaltz. It is slated to be released in 2016.
