After months of rumors, the Texas-based theater/bar chain Alamo Drafthouse has finally confirmed it'll open its first Los Angeles location, occupying the entire third floor of downtown LA's mixed-use space the Bloc. Eater LA reports the cultishly beloved drink-and-watch theater concept will feature nine screens at its California spot, food delivery to seats, plus a bar menu featuring "plenty of California craft beers."
It's been a busy week for the brand: In Austin, the theater's South Lamar location announced it'll re-open this weekend after a temporary shutter and renovation that experienced multiple delays. The first California location of Alamo Drafthouse, meanwhile, is planning a 2015 opening.
