Austin's Red Star Southern is the latest restaurant to experiment with a ticketed reservation system, launching its chef's tasting counter with the pre-paid system that varies reservation costs depending on the day of the week. Chef Erica Waksmunski will rotate the menu (currently, it's a "food trailer" theme), and Eater Austin floats the rumor that the project may be the Austin restaurant already signed on for Nick Kokonas's ticketed dining system.
