In 2015, British chef Heston Blumenthal will pop-up his three-Michelin-starred restaurant the Fat Duck in Melbourne, Australia. And perhaps unsurprisingly for a chef who made the announcement via press conference, the entire process will be filmed for a documentary series. Broadcast reports Blumenthal's "longtime producer" Jay Taylor — who worked with the chef to produce Heston's Feasts and Heston's Great British Food — will accompany Blumenthal to Australia to film a series for an unnamed Australian broadcaster.
According to Broadcast, the series will air before Fat Duck Melbourne even opens — it'll hit screens sometime this Fall — and Taylor hopes to sell it to a UK broadcaster sometime "next year." As first announced back in March, Blumenthal's entire Fat Duck staff will make the move to Australia for the six-month pop-up inside the Crown resort. After the Fat Duck pop-up ends, Blumenthal will retain a presence in the resort by opening a second outpost of his London restaurant Dinner by Heston Blumenthal. More information about the series — tentatively titled Inside Heston's World — as it becomes available.
