French actor/Russian citizen/Vladimir Putin's BFF Gérard Depardieu is opening a restaurant in Moscow. In an interview with Russian paper Komsomolskaya Pravda (translated), Depardieu reveals that the restaurant will be called Gérard and will serve "the simple food that I like, with dishes from Russia and France." He also hopes to open two more restaurants in Russia, including one in St. Petersburg and another in Saransk. The National notes that Depardieu has a decent amount of restaurant experience: The actor owns three restaurants in Paris plus "bistros and brasseries in Belgium." Gérard is slated to open in October.
