Russian designer Constantin Bolimond has unveiled a winning alcohol/pop-culture mashup with his designs for wine bottles inspired by Piet Mondrian and The Simpsons. According to a post on Behance, it appears Bolimond's minimalist "Homer" and "Marge" bottles aren't actually filled with booze: The label coyly proclaims "The drink was brought to life together with the cartoon characters in 1987. Maybe it is wine, maybe not. We are inviting you to find out yourselves." Either way, they perfectly embody the iconic cartoon characters, using nothing but simple lines and blocks of color.
But if The Simpsons were to take up Bolimond on his idea, it wouldn't be that much of a stretch: In recent months, wineries have launched pop-culture tie-ins like Game of Thrones and Fifty Shades of Grey wines. Bolimond's edgy packaging designs also include bottles for muscly energy drinks and heart-shaped wine, not to mention a chocolate bar called Tits Milk Chocolate (not lost in translation, slightly NSFW).
