According to a report from Crain's, New York State Gov. Andrew Cuomo is pushing a program that he hopes will create more jobs in depressed areas of the state where cheese, yogurt, beer, wine, and spirits are made. By asking restaurateurs in New York City to source from within the state, Cuomo hopes to drive production up.
