Beard Award winning San Francisco chef Corey Lee is writing a cookbook for Phaidon. The book will be called Benu and will focus on his two-Michelin-starred restaurant of the same name.
Phaidon tells Eater, the book will run through one of the restaurant's lengthy 33-course tasting menus so that "the reader can experience the drama and pace of Corey Lee's cooking." Also included: essays explaining the dishes, forewords from both Thomas Keller and David Chang, illustrations, and "travel photography from Korea, Hong Kong and San Francisco." The book, Lee's first, will be released in April 2015.
