DC's Emporiyum; Flore Named Nordic Food Lab Chef

WASHINGTON, DCThe Emporiyum, a pop-up artisan food market, has announced the line-up for its first event in Washington, DC: Chefs like Paul Qui and Bryan Voltaggio will join Momofuku Milk Bar, Black Seed Bagels, and Mast Bros. COPENHAGEN— After a few months serving as "interim head chef," Roberto Flore has been officially named head chef of René Redzepi's culinary incubator Nordic Food Lab. In the announcement, the NFL team writes that "We look forward to his broad experience with both chefs and producers helping us build our community in Denmark and the Nordic region, and his commitment to advancing our kitchen, his love of the edible landscape, and his background bringing a new perspective to our work." NEW YORK CITY— Bravo will hold a public tasting event on August 4 celebrating the upcoming season of its show Top Chef Duels. According to a press release, judges Curtis Stone and Gail Simmons will be on-hand during the event, featuring dishes by an unspecified number of the show's contestants.
