Chef Eric Ripert, of NYC's Le Bernardin, talked to Fox News recently about the costs of fine dining. Though he didn't give away the restaurant's revenue, he did explain why dinner for one at the Michelin-starred restaurant can reach $200: "As soon you as you break a plate, it's $80. The glasses are crystal, the [domes that cover the plates are] silver, and we have 50 cooks in the kitchen..." [Fox]
