A Southern Vegetable Dinner; Cubanos to Celebrate Chef

ATLANTA— Chef Sean Brock (Husk, Charleston, Nashville) is popping up in Atlanta this month. Brock will be joining his friend, chef Linton Hopkins at Restaurant Eugene for a one-night only pop-up on Monday, July 21. The two chefs will be preparing a meal of vegetables. LOS ANGELES— Chefs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo — the guys behind Animal and Son of a Gun in LA — are hosting chef Roy Choi for a one night dinner (on July 21) in celebration of director Jon Favreau's recent film Chef. DALLAS— FT33 chef Matt McCallister will host chef Brandon Baltzley of the recently opened TMIP Restaurant at Exterior Farm in Michigan City, Indiana, for a one-night only "minimalist dinner," reports Eater Dallas. Baltzley's restaurant is 10 seats and on an actual farm, which means he grows produce and raises hogs and chickens for his menu. The chefs will prepare an eight-course dinner on July 21 without electricity, over a live fire. Tickets are $105 per person; wine pairings are an additional $55.
