Yesterday, in advance of today's World Cup match (the US is playing Belgium), a few bars called for a boycott on Belgian beer. Today, TMZ reports that Sam Adams' founder Jim Koch is standing up for beer of all kinds: "We hear some people are boycotting their favorite Belgian beers in support of Team USA... I can't say I agree with beer boycotts because then you're giving up your right to drink your favorite beer! If you really want to show patriotism, I say boycott Brussels sprouts or Belgian waffles."
