Netflix recently released the second season of Orange is the New Black, the show that follows the misadventures of a group of female inmates. Today, Netflix announced plans to roll out Crazy Pyes, a promotional food truck that will give out free pie and chocolate-and-vanilla swirled ice-cream cones. Both items nod at lines spoken by one of OITNB's most beloved characters: Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren (played by the actress Uzo Aduba). Her season-one catchphrase was, "I threw my pie for you."
This isn't the first time Netflix has sought to capitalize on the significant role food plays in the show. Just last month the company announced plans to release an OITNB cookbook.
While Mexico City has already gotten a taste of the Crazy Pyes truck, dates and locations for U.S. stops have only been released for the New York City area. Additional cities will be announced later this month.
