Boston Chef Michael Schlow Expands Into DC With Tico

Photo: R. Lopez

Chef Michael Schlow, who owns and operates three restaurants in the Boston area and several others around the East Coast, has opened his first restaurant in Washington D.C. It's a second location of his Boston-based Tico, which offers a Latin-style street-food inspired experience — both in food and decor. Eater DC notes that the interiors were designed in part by Adrienne Schlow, Michael Schlow's wife. The 50-item menu leans on Latin standards like tacos and ceviches, and the full bar offers plenty of tequila. Based on this new move, as well has his recent foray into LA, it appears as though Schlow is ready to expand his empire.
