Hillary Dixler Canavan is Eater's restaurant editor and the author of the publication's debut book, Eater: 100 Essential Restaurant Recipes From the Authority on Where to Eat and Why It Matters (Abrams, September 2023). Her work focuses on dining trends and the people changing the industry — and scouting the next hot restaurant you need to try on Eater's annual Best New Restaurant list.

Brooklyn restaurateur Andrew Tarlow of Marlow & Sons, Diner, Reynard, and many more will be writing two books for Ten Speed. Ten Speed tells Eater that the first will be titled Dinner at the Long Table. This will be Tarlow's first cookbook.

The cookbook will center on "a personal collection of memorable feasts and festive meals" with "elegant, easy-to-follow, ingredient-driven recipes." Dinner at the Long Table is slated for a Fall 2016 publication. No details yet as to the title or focus of the second book, but it is expected to hit shelves in Fall 2017.
