Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House — the Savannah, Georgia restaurant that disgraced food person Paula Deen owned with her older brother Earl W. "Bubba" Hiers for 10 years before abruptly closing it in April — is now for sale. Savannah Now reports that the property is listed for just under $4 million. Savannah commercial real estate firm Gilbert & Ezelle is describing the tainted restaurant space as a "10,000-square-foot waterfront restaurant on three acres." The property is valued at $1.4 million, according to recent tax records.
Uncle Bubba's is the restaurant where Paula Deen's fall from grace began. Last year, Deen was accused of using racist slurs in front of employees at the longstanding restaurant. Though the lawsuit was eventually dismissed, the fallout from the very believable claims continues.
