Bourdain Wire

Screen Shot 2014-06-26 at 7.11.55 PM.pngLaurie Woolever is Anthony Bourdain's assistant, and in The Billfold, she writes about how she came upon this gig. Frustrated with her work as an editor a few years ago, she writes: "I emailed everyone I knew, offering to work as an editor, writer, assistant, cook, pretzel alphabetizer, general ass-wiper—anything as long as it was part-time. One of these people was Anthony Bourdain... he offered me a part-time job as his assistant... [we] agreed on a weekly rate of $400." [The Billfold][Photo: @LaurieWoolever]
