2014 Daytime Emmy Awards Winners Announced

The winners of the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced last night. The Mind of a Chef picked up a huge award for Outstanding Culinary Program (beating out Food Network stars Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis). The show's co-host chef Sean Brock, was thoroughly amazed and Instagrammed a picture of the award. Co-host chef April Bloomfield, who also won a James Beard Award earlier this year, tweeted a photo of Brock and herself on the Emmy red carpet writing, "What a trip! So exciting." On the news, executive producer and narrator Anthony Bourdain tweeted: "@MindOfAChef who the fuck else? Congratulations! #goteam #bless #iTalisVital #whoasay? #smellslikeemmy"

Although he lost in the Outstanding Culinary Program category, Bobby Flay took home the trophy for Outstanding Culinary Host for his Food Network show, Bobby Flay's Barbecue Addiction. The Chew, which was nominated for Outstanding Talk Show/Informative, unfortunately did not pick up the award.

The winners of the 41st Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards were also announced (see the full list of winners in a .pdf) and the team behind Giada De Laurentiis' show Giada in Paradise came away as big winners of the night. The show won three awards: Outstanding Achievement in Single Camera Photography, Outstanding Achievement in Single Camera Editing, and Outstanding Special Class Director.
