New York restaurateur Keith McNally (Balthazar, Minetta Tavern) will open his newest project, Cherche Midi, tomorrow night on the Bowery. Eater NY takes a look inside, noting that a few details from McNally's short-lived Pulino's Bar and Pizzeria (which was previously housed in the same space) remain. Otherwise, Cherche Midi has a completely different feel. Balthazar's chef de cuisine Shane McBride is running the kitchen along with former Minetta Tavern sous chef Daniel Parilla. Though a complete menu has not yet been released, the kitchen is playing around with brasserie standards like frog legs, steak tartare, and steak frites. There will be a dry-aged burger with bacon marmalade too.
