Charlie Trotter, the legendary Chicago chef who passed away last November, will be honored with a tribute dinner during the Chicago Gourmet food festival this September. According to the Chicago Tribune, the event will take place on September 27 in the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago and will feature a six-course meal cooked by chefs Rick Bayless (Frontera Grill), Graham Elliot (Graham Elliot Bistro), Thomas Lents (Sixteen), Matthias Merges (Yusho), Masaharu Morimoto (Morimoto), and Della Gossett (Spago). There will also be wine pairings from Master Sommeliers Serafin Alvarado, Alpana Singh, Joe Spellman, and Larry Stone. Tickets are $500 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. on June 20. The proceeds will benefit Charlie Trotter's Culinary Education Foundation.
