Obama Made a Surprise Starbucks Run in DC

Turns out America's fancy sushi-loving burger-eating President is also a fan of Starbucks and made a surprise visit to a DC location yesterday. According to NBC, President Barack Obama and and his chief of staff Denis McDonough took a "stroll" to a local Starbucks and Obama walked out with what looked like a Venti cup. So what was Obama's order? "Just some tea," he told reporters. Politico notes that this isn't the first time the president has taken an unscheduled walk out of the White House in the middle of the day (last time he went to an event at the Interior Department). The tea run apparently took place right after Obama spoke about college affordability at the White House. Maybe he can convince Starbucks to overturn its decision to stop allowing people to order over-the-top gigantic concoctions when redeeming free drinks, you know, for all the poor starving college students out there?
