Chef José Andrés has teamed up with Umami Burger to create a limited edition sandwich. According to Eater DC, the collaboration is part of the speciality burger chain's Artist Series and features plenty of "Spanish-inspired ingredients." Umami Burger revealed via Twitter that the burger comes with a patty made from pork and cured ham and is topped with caramelized onions, manchego cheese, aioli, and a piquillo pepper confit. Eater LA notes the José Andrés burger will retail for $15 with $1 going to charity and will be available for a limited time at all Umami Burger locations starting May 20. The Artist Series has previously featured a Monte Cristo burger from chef Michael Voltaggio that was served on a custard-soaked deep-fried bun.
