Here's a video interview with Papa John's CEO and founder John Schnatter in which he talks about how healthy pizza is. He declares that "pizza is really nutritious" adding, "It's good for you." Schnatter goes on to compare eating pizza to eating eggs: "You just can't sit down and eat a whole carton of eggs…and you can't sit down and eat a whole pizza." Unlike an egg, which has around 70 calories, the Papa John's website notes that a single slice of cheese pizza has about 290 calories. Also unlike an egg, which has well, one ingredient, Papa John's was called out last year for using sauces "made with a slew of additives" and for going to great lengths to hide its ingredient lists.
