Today in rich people things: Krispy Kreme in the UK created what they're calling the world's most expensive doughnut: The edible-gold gilded Krispy Kreme doughnut is filled with Champagne jelly made from Dom Pérignon 2002 (retail: $175 per bottle), a creme made with Chateau d'Yquem (presumably/hopefully, one of its more expensive vintages), and something called "edible diamonds." To serve, the £1,000 doughnut arrives atop a martini glass filled with a 500-year-old Courvoisier de L'Esprit Cognac, raspberry and passionfruit syrups, and topped with more of that 2002 vintage Dom Pérignon.
