Last Sunday's episode of Mad Men featured characters dining at a Burger Chef, a real fast food chain that opened in 1958 but was sold to Hardee's parent company in 1982. LAist notes that the scene was filmed at an actual former Burger Chef location (currently Jim's Burgers in Rialto, CA) along Route 66 that the show's designers gave an era-appropriate makeover.
