Harlem Food Festival Confirmed; Blanca Pops Up in Philly

NEW YORK CITY— Chef Marcus Samuelsson's rumored Harlem Food Festival has made it official: NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio and former president Bill Clinton officially announced the launch of Harlem EatUp!, scheduled for May 15-17, 2015. Details about the event are scarce, but the official website promises the festival will celebrate "the food, culture, and spirit of East, Central, and West Harlem." Details as they become available. PHILADELPHIA— Chef Carlo Mirarchi (of Brooklyn's Blanca and Roberta's) will visit Philadelphia for a collaboration dinner with chef Peter Serpico on Tuesday, June 10. Serpico teased the potential menu today; it currently features dishes with names like "hot tripe and lobster and cold lobster and tripe." Reservations are $100 and available by calling Serpico.
