Alex Raij and Eder Montero, the team behind New York City's Txikito, La Vara, and El Quinto Pino, have signed a book deal with Ten Speed. According to Publishers Marketplace, the book will be called Welcome Basque, and will feature recipes from all three restaurants that "take on traditional Basque and Spanish preparations." Raij won the Eater Award for New York City Chef of the Year in 2012, and El Quinto Pino nabbed two stars from New York Times critic Pete Wells just last week. No word on a publication date; stay tuned.
