As reported yesterday, ABC officially picked up the comedy series based off chef Eddie Huang's memoir Fresh Off the Boat, and at the network's upfront presentation today, it revealed the first trailer.
Huang narrates the set-up: His young self (played by Hudson Yang) is dragged to suburban Orlando in the early '90s by his father (Randall Park), who "loved everything about America": including the fact that the family now owns and operates a cowboy-themed steakhouse. His mother (Constance Wu) is less enthused and walks the fine line between character and FOB stereotype, but the teaser does rattle off some fun jokes about "white people food," culture clashes, and hip-hop.
