Watch Mario Batali Cook Dinner for Picky Diners Kristen Wiig and Fred Armisen

Last night orange Crocs-wearing chef Mario Batali stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers to cook up a spring menu and promote his restaurant Tarry Lodge in Port Chester, New York ("and soon to be in New Haven"). He is also the first chef to make an appearance on Late Night since Meyers' take over, which is becoming something of a trend for Batali as he was the first guest chef on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last month.

Actor Colin Hanks is on hand to play waiter to a two-top where comedians Kristen Wiig and Fred Armisen sit and are hilariously "in a little bit of a hurry." The highly energetic Batali whips up a menu of lemony asparagus topped with a fried egg, Coppa with pickled fiddlehead ferns, and a strawberry cocktail which unfortunately Wiig and Armisen can't eat because they don't consume "salad, or bread, or vegetables." Go, watch:
