Here now is Taco Bell's latest commercial promoting its recently launched breakfast menu. They take aim at McDonald's yet again with a follow-up to their ad featuring real men named Ronald McDonald professing their love of Taco Bell's breakfast. This time around, the stunt-y ad is set to the tune of "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" and features a man who has eaten Egg McMuffins since 1984. On discovering the Waffle Taco, he decides to update his breakfast and his entire life: gone are his mullet, flip phone, and Loverboy poster.
The ad is yet another shot fired in an ongoing breakfast war between the two fast food giants. McDonald's, which has served the Egg McMuffin since the 1970s, responded to Taco Bell's first breakfast commercial with a photo of Ronald McDonald petting a chihuahua with the caption "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." So who will win the breakfast wars? Taco Bell's chief marketing officer tells AP, "Some of the things on our menu might run out of gas ... [but] I wouldn't give up on the waffle taco." Go, watch:
