On last night's episode of IFC's Portlandia, the Pun Slingers — who "come up with a punny name for your business," pho establishments aside — are tasked with naming an Italian restaurant. Among the possibilities thrown around: Planned Pizzahood (which "could be construed as controversial"), Out of Parm's Way, and E.T. Phone Rome (which is "a full groan").
The Pun Slingers sketch was probably inspired by real Portland food cart names like Fried Egg I'm in Love and the now-closed Lebaneser Scrooge; no Portland Italian restaurant, sadly, has an awesomely punny name. Yet. Go, watch:
