Publishers Marketplace reports that acclaimed Peruvian chef and international restauranteur Gastón Acurio has landed a deal to publish a cookbook about his native cuisine. Acurio, who owns the highly acclaimed Astrid y Gastón in Lima (ranked #14 in the world), has published cookbooks before, however this will be his English debut.

The yet-to-be named cookbook is Acurio's "definitive guide to the traditional home cooking of Peru" and will feature over 500 recipes. In a previous interview with Eater, he explains that the recipes will be "very easy to do." Acurio aims to help readers worldwide "have this Peruvian food culture" in their homes or use the book "as kind of a reference" when they "want to know to put some Peruvian soul in any recipe."

There's no word on a release date yet, but it set to be published by Phaidon. In that same interview, Acurio notes that he has plans to write three English cookbooks with "three different publishers."
