Yesterday a recent New Orleans transplant told the New York Times that the city is "not cosmopolitan" because "there's no kale here." New Orleanians were highly offended and responded in turn: On kale's availability at the grocery store, Jarvis DeBerry of the Times-Picayune writes that they have "kale in the bag, kale by the bunch, and even organically grown kale."
