Bloomberg's Ryan Sutton goes long to investigate why there are no women with head chef positions in prominent restaurant groups like Thomas Keller's, David Chang's, or Tom Colicchio's. The findings: "Women occupy just 6.3 percent, or 10 out of 160 head chef positions at 15 prominent U.S. restaurant groups." Over on his blog The Bad Deal, Sutton continues the conversation with quotes from chef Andrew Carmellini, Jefferson Macklin (Barbara Lynch COO), and others. [Bloomberg]
