Oscar Mayer Develops Stunt Bacon Alarm Clock

There's now an alarm clock that uses the scent and sounds of sizzling bacon — the stuntiest of all stunt food ingredients — to wake people up. Developed by the Oscar Mayer Institute for the Advancement of Bacon, the "Wake Up & Smell the Bacon" clock is actually an iPhone app that works in conjunction with an external "scent device" plugged into the phone's headphone jack. It looks like Oscar Mayer beat Spanish Andoni Aduriz in the race to release smartphone smellovision.

The app is free to download and currently available but in order to have bacon-scented juice sprayed near your face each morning, you have apply to win one of 4,700 scent-emitting accessories via the official website.
