NEW YORK CITY— Eleven Madison Park will play host to an all-star benefit dinner on Tuesday, March 18, bringing together chefs from no fewer than three continents: Chefs René Redzepi, David Chang, Barbara Lynch, Alex Atala, and Daniel Humm will join forces for a benefit on behalf of Redzepi's MAD Symposium. FOOD TV— More new shows on-tap at the Food Network: Today, the channel announced its newest culinary competition America's Best Cook will feature at-home, amateur chefs battling through elimination rounds to win $50,000 and the illustrious title of "America's Best Cook." Familiar FN faces Alex Guarnaschelli, Cat Cora, Michael Symon, and Tyler Florence are on-board as the contestants' chef-mentors, while Ted Allen hosts. America's Best Cook premieres Sunday, April 13. PHILADELPHIA— Throughout the month of March, Philly empire builder Stephen Starr will raise money for local public schools during a "Support Our Schools" fundraiser. Eater Philly reports that all 21 of Starr's restaurants will solicit donations from guests, with the end goal of raising $100,000 from customers (Starr's restaurant group has already promised an in-house donation of $25K).
