Food52's annual Piglet cookbook tournament has ended, and the winner, as explained by David Chang and Peter Meehan is The New Persian Kitchen by Louisa Shafia. The book narrowly beat out the Roberta's Cookbook by Carlo Mirarchi, namely because of its ability to teach unfamiliar flavors to both professional and home cooks. [Food 52]
