White Castle Boldly Unleashes Line of Belgian Waffle Breakfast Sandwiches

Congratulations, America: Barring a cruel and unusual April Fool's Day prank, it looks like stoner favorite White Castle will soon unleash a line of Belgian waffle breakfast sandwiches. According to a press release (and accompanying Facebook reveal), three sandwich varieties — a sausage egg and cheese, gravy-topped chicken-and-waffle, and bacon egg and cheese — will be available sandwiched in between "sweet, fluffy waffles... imported directly from a bakery in Belgium to bring Cravers an authentic taste of Europe."

White Castle appears to have tested the breakfast waffle concept at an Indianapolis location in late 2013, and the new item could be a direct response to other fast food waffle-sandwich mash-ups: Taco Bell launched its "waffle taco" menu just last week, while Jack In The Box has offered a waffle breakfast sandwich since 2012. Thus far, no release date has been announced for White Castle's supposed version; if it's tomorrow, April Fool's is officially the worst.
