Watch a Giant Wave Crash Through a Restaurant Window

New, 2 comments

A couple of patrons at Santa Barbara, California's Moby Dick Restaurant managed to film a giant wave crashing through the restaurant's window. The Moby Dick is located on a wharf, and a recent winter storm had record waves surging along the Santa Barbara coast. Thankfully no one was hurt, and the restaurant suffered minimal damage. One of the patrons who was recording, Jill Freeland, told KEYT, "I'm glad no one was hurt or it wouldn't be fun at all but it was exciting." Freeland's video has over 166,000 views on YouTube as of this posting; another patron's video has over 717,000. Below, watch the footage from inside the restaurant.
