Ratatouille Will Be Re-Released in 3D

Hillary Dixler Canavan is Eater's restaurant editor and the author of the publication's debut book, Eater: 100 Essential Restaurant Recipes From the Authority on Where to Eat and Why It Matters (Abrams, September 2023). Her work focuses on dining trends and the people changing the industry — and scouting the next hot restaurant you need to try on Eater's annual Best New Restaurant list.

Everyone's favorite film about rats and cooking Ratatouille is set for a re-release in 3D. According to Screen Daily, Disney's Pixar is planning to release a "3D retrofit" of the film. Says Pixar's director of 3D production: "We have a version of Ratatouille, which works really well in 3D and we're trying to figure out exactly what the release strategy for that will be." Ratatouille was originally released in 2007, featuring the vocal talents of Patton Oswalt and the late Peter O'Toole. There is no specific date yet on the 3D re-release.
