It's going to be a busy year for NYC chef Jonathan Waxman. The acclaimed chef of the 10 year-old Barbuto is currently working towards opening new restaurants in Toronto and Nashville, his first in both cities. Both restaurants are slated to open this Summer.

Rumors of Waxman's Nashville began circulating since September, and now The Tennesean reports that Adele's by Jonathan Waxman is set to open in the early Summer. Waxman's reps tell Eater that along with partners Ken Levitan and Howard Greenstone, Waxman will be opening the restaurant (named for Waxman's mother) with "a wood-burning grill, open kitchen with chef's counter, and outdoor patio, with a rustic and seasonal menu of locally sourced ingredients."

Waxman and his team are restoring a 1950's car garage into a restaurant space with an 80 seat dining room, a bar and patio with a combined 100 seats, plus a private dining room. Waxman has been an outspoken fan of the Nashville culinary scene, helping to produce the inaugural Music City Eats festival last year.

In Toronto, Waxman will be partnering with Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman and restaurant group Innov8 Hospitality to open Montecito in the King West neighborhood. According to Toronto Life it's going to be big, clocking in at 12,000 square-foot space and 280 seats. Montecito is slated to open this Summer. There's no official word on the menu yet, but Eater has reached out for more details so stay tuned.
